But for a select group, products are meant to be art. They are meant to literally change the world.– Gizmodo : How Yahoo Killed Flickr and Lost the Internet
Hi!
I’m Jean-Sébastien a [Web, Unix, Nodejs, C, OpenSource, Linux, OpenData].random+developer from Québec and founder of xpensia. I would like to introduce you to a new kind of PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service). Well it’s not ready yet, but in the next few months I will leak some information about the platform and give invites to try the service early.
The goal is simple : Make deploying applications in the cloud as easy as saying git push while giving you all the flexibility of a complex IaaS
Ho! You can already deploy with git to Heroku?
Yes Heroku is a good platform for deploying Clojure, Nodejs, Python or Ruby Web applications, but what if it’s not what you want?
Why all you can put on a PaaS should be Web sites or Web apps?
- Maybe you want to deploy a complex application but just don’t want to manage servers
- Or a game server?
- A PaaS hosted on ours!? That’s possible as well :D
I just don’t recommend making coffee on our servers. A good barista will always make better coffee… nah, that’s a lie. I also love AI!
In fact the platform is hosted on itself, so you will have access to all the features needed to offer them to you! (Yeah, that’s the time if you like Inception references)
So stay tuned to learn more about xpensia and our PaaS!
